I recently applied for an appointment in getting my NBI Clearance. Apparently, there are new things that you need to understand in order to make this online service an easy-breezy application. My experience though is isolated in using 7- Eleven as my payment option and after more than three years of obtaining a new clearance. It was tiring and time-consuming due to the unclear instructions and inefficient web designs.
KNOW THE WEBSITE
Being skeptic against perpetrators or phishers, I bet you would tend to open the NBI site to avail of this online services. However, this government agency has a separate address for its online appointment. Don't be scared. The address is https://www.nbi-clearance.com. This is verified by GoDaddy.com, Inc., an American publicly traded Internet domain registrar and web hosting company.

There is no other explanation how important the information it would tell you. Probably the answers to your questions or concerns later on as you perform the procedures are already given right at the start.
Bottom-line is that printing of accomplished application form online is no longer necessary. The REFERENCE NUMBER is sufficient to enter the premises of the preferred NBI Clearance Centers. Just take a photo of it or write it down in a piece of paper.
APPOINTMENT SCHEDULE AND EXPIRATION DATE
Clicking your preferred schedule in the calendar may look to be meaningless but action completes the condition. Try to look at the right most side of the interface. The chosen date is already reflected there and now you're ready to choose from your payment options.
The validity of your appointment is within 15 calendar days, paid or unpaid. If paid and appointment becomes expired, the payment becomes forfeited and you need to apply and pay again.
E-PAYMENT SERVICE CHARGES & OTHER CHARGES.
Here comes now my experience with 7-Eleven. Mathematically, I expect to pay only Php140 including the basic due of Php115 and the service fee of Php25. Unfortunately, the transaction was invalid. After accomplishing twice a payment slip in their Cliqq kiosk using Php140 as the amount due, the POS still asked for Php155 as the correct amount due. More so, the cashier cannot explain the inconstency even if I explained to him through photos of the should-be amount to be paid.
I tried creating another application and the same happened. I decided to use Php155 and yes, the POS accepted it. 7- Eleven may be charging another Php15 for using their services. My friends suggested to just pay at Cebuana Lhuillier. It will only charge you of Php140.
I told you to read the reminders well. But here comes the vague instructions of printing the application form which is not really necessary.
NO PRINTING OF APPLICATION FORM
After paying the amount due to your preferred payment centers, the status of your appoinment will change from PENDING to PAID. The concern here is that the Actions column is empty and there is no way to print the form and even to cancel the Pending application.
Then press >CTRL+Shift+I< to open the programming codes. Make sure you are using Chrome in performing this. It will not work in other browsers.
Drag the vertical columns to the left and hidden buttons will appear. You may use this to cancel your pending applications. While for the screenshot below, clicking the DETAILS button will show you another reminder.
And that is printing is no longer necessary.
